Construction Project US 12/18 & County AB Interchange

March 6, 2023 - Late October 2023

Over the last few months, construction has been well underway along Millpond Road and the routes to the Dealership. The purpose of this project has been "to reduce the overall number and severity of crashes, decrease travel time delays,..." among other noted advantages.

As of October 26, the right turn onto the roundabout for Millpond Road is NOW OPEN using EXIT 268! When exiting the interstate or coming from the Beltline, you no longer have to take the long way to EXIT 269 and double back.

The left turn lane from 12/18 Westbound and the previous intersection have been permanently closed and will no longer be an option to access the Dealership. 

All exits are open now and besides some residual road work, the paths to the Dealership are complete. Most GPS services have been updated to reflect the changes made for EXIT 269, including Google Maps, while the exit onto Millpond Road has not. See below for a visual of that exit.

I-39/90

  • EXIT 142B (12/18 to Cambridge) on Northbound/Southbound I-39/90 have been REOPENED.
  • The right turn lane onto Millpond is OPEN! Take EXIT 268 to merge onto Millpond Road from the roundabout

 

IF YOU MISS EXIT 268 (MILLPOND RD)

  • Continue on 12/18 E and take EXIT 269
  • Before 1st roundabout, take exit on the right to next roundabout
  • Take the 2nd roundabout 1/4-way round to exit onto Millpond Road
  • Continue on Millpond Road* and resume regular route to the Dealership
    • *aka the frontage road. This portion of road is still under construction, but the roundabout is drivable.

HWY 12/18 WEST

  • From HWY 12/18 WEST take EXIT 269
  • Take 1st roundabout 3/4-round and exit to next roundabout
  • Take 2nd roundabout 1/2-way round and exit to next roundabout
  • At the 3rd roundabout, take the 1/4-way round to exit onto Millpond Road
  • Continue on Millpond Road* and resume regular route to the Dealership
    • *aka the frontage road. This portion of road is still under construction, but the roundabout is drivable.

 

**If EXIT 269 is missed, there is no left turn onto Millpond Road as there was previously. You must continue on HWY 12/18 toward the Beltline and take EXIT 266 (Stoughton Road) and follow the directions listed above for I-39/90 EAST.
